Lot Description
A fine large Italian Lenci pottery figure of a young boy. Designed by Sandro Vacchetti, modelled with blond hair, wearing blue bow tie, blue-trimmed yellow jacket and black and white checked shorts, his hands in his pockets, on a circular base, inscribed 'Lenci MADE IN ITALY Torino', 16.75", (42.5cm) high.
A figure of a girl comparable to this lot was sold by Fellows, 3rd June 2013, lot 71, christened 'Angelina' within the family, The present figure comes from another branch of the same family and has been known as 'Angelino'. Further models of this boy have been sold at auction including a damaged example with differing inscription, Tennants 15th July 2017 lot 535.

Two small flake losses to blue trim of jacket. Chip to rear edge of circular base, plus further minor edge losses to base - but easily restorable if wished and in decent condition overall.
