Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen assumed the role of head designer at Givenchy, a fashion house owned by Louis Vuitton, and later launched his own menswear line in 2004. He received the British Fashion Council's British Designer of the Year award on four occasions and was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

In 2000, Gucci acquired a 51 percent stake in Alexander McQueen's private company, facilitating its expansion.

Subsequently, McQueen departed from Givenchy.

He was then recognized as International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2003, he was also honoured as a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.
