In recent years, Knox's work for Liberty & Co. has gained recognition, with increasing popularity for his designs. He is celebrated as a leading figure in the Modern Style movement, known for producing notable pieces for Liberty, including Arthur Lasenby Liberty's gravestone in 1917.

During the 1920s, Knox expanded his influence through teaching art and contributing to publications.
