Garrard
Establishing its legacy in 1722, Garrard embarked on a journey of luxury and prestige that culminated in Queen Victoria appointing the brand as the inaugural official Crown Jewellers in 1843, a distinction retained until 2007.
Among Garrard's historical treasures is a ledger dating back to 1735, documenting their inaugural royal commission from Frederick, Prince of Wales.
Subsequent entries in visitors' books chronicle a wealth of royal appointments, including engagements with Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
Of particular significance is the entry dated 20th April 1937, noting King George VI's visit to the atelier to try on the Imperial State Crown ahead of his coronation—an event echoing in the anticipation of King Charles III's forthcoming coronation, 86 years later.
