Lot Description
IWC - an 18ct gold manual wind gentleman's strap watch circa 1939 by International Watch Company, the silvered dial with gilt Arabic numerals, round case with teardrop shaped lugs fitted to an associated black leather strap and London import hallmarks, with signed calibre 61 movement numbered 990260. Case diameter 31mm. Together with an IWC extract from the ledger document detailing a brief history of the watch.

Condition Report
IWC watch, movement is currently functioning. Case is scratched and scuffed as a result of general wear with worst marks being a case knife slip scratch to the case back together with a shallow dent behind 8 o'clock, may benefit from refinishing as many of these marks appear superficial and should polish out without too much difficulty. Leather strap is a contemporary replacement and does not appear to have been worn. Dial is a little darkened with age and shows some light speckling and scuffs, hand show multiple light marks, plastic glass appears to be a recent replacement and is in very good condition.
