Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch with movement signed by A.H. Drinkwater, the cream enamel dial with black Roman numerals and outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned at six o'clock, the case with milled band and engine turning surrounding vacant cartouche in garter to the reverse hallmarked London 1884, the makers' mark of Amelia Wickes & Frederick Trahern, fitted with a full plate movement signed A. H. Drinkwater, Manufacturer, Coventry, with bimetal split compensated balance, English lever escapement and fusee and numbered 14641. Case diameter 50mm.

Victorian pocket watch, movement is currently functioning however appears dirty and tarnished and would most likely benefit from servicing. The case is worn with multiple dints to the case band which in placed have obliterated the milled detail, case back is also warn resulting in a loss of detail to the engine turning towards the case edges. Dial is dirty however appears to be in good condition, blue steel hands hand discoloured slightly and show a few light marks, plastic glass is lightly scratched and may benefit from polishing.
