SMITHS - a 9ct gold gentleman's mechanical Smiths de Luxe wrist watch circa 1950, the silvered dial with applied hourly dots and quarterly Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds positioned at six o'clock, case is hallmarked Edinburgh 1955, fitted to an associated black leather strap with gold plated pin buckle, with 15 jewel movement numbered C281737. Case diameter 35mm. With box.

Smiths De Luxe mechanical wrist watch, movement is not currently functioning, watch may need some attention possibly a service, scratches to case as a result of general wear, dial is in quite good condition considering the age of the watch, hands are showing signs of corrosion, glass is scratched. Lugs are showing signs of having been soldered to the case, case back has been engraved with a personal message.
Strap is quite worn, pin buckle is tarnished.
Together with authentic box, both boxes appear to be in good condition.
