An oval shell cameo brooch depicting Dionysus God of wine holding a thrysus, wearing an animal pelt with a crown of vine leaves on his head with an outer detailed Greek key design border. Length of brooch - 6.3cms, Width - 5.3cms. Weight - 26.24 grams.

Good condition. The cameo is well carved, there are some scratches to the back. There are slight scratches and areas of discolouration to the outer border. There is some tarnishing to the back of the outer rim and the top link for the safety chain has been added, there is visible water.
