Lot Description

A silver desk stand/clock/ink well in the form of a coachman’s lantern, with a fixed loop handle, a hinged cover with knop finial enclosing an ink pot, the front inset with a Swiss timepiece , the white dial with black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and gilt hands, with two hinged covers, on a round trumpet-shaped foot (dented), the marks rubbed probably H Mathews, Birmingham circa1910, 17cm high overall.
