Lot Description
A silver money box in the form of an cylindrical letter box with fluted bands and a pierced and hinged cover with padlock and clasp, the interior velvet lined, Chester 1904 by Saunders and Sheppard, 10cm high overall, 6cm diameter, 3ozt (93.7 grams) gross.

Condition Report
The money box is in fair condition commensurate with age and use. The item is displaying general marks and scratches and is heavily tarnished with discoloration to the whole and would benefit from a clean. There is evidence of minor pitting and shallow dents and the original makers seam has become visible. The padlock and key clasp is working correctly. The velvet lining is in good condition, displaying minor fraying and discoloration inside the hinged cover. Maker's mark is rubbed and illegible. Hallmarks are a little rubbed but are legible.
