Victorian Novelty silver vesta case modeled as a gas meter marked W. Parkinson & Co London & Birmingham, hallmarked William Hair Haseler Birmingham 1898, 333740 registered in 1899. Height measures 4.2 cm.

Overall the vesta is in good condition with wear commensurate with the age and use. The vesta does appear heavily tarnished with general scratches and marks , a little wear to the raised surfaces with slight loss of definition. The hinge is in good working order, slightly rising when in a closed position. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
