Lot Description
A Great War group of four miniatures, later OBE and three Belgian Civil awards to Second Lieutenant W N Doley 5th Bn The Prince of Wales's (North Staffordshire) Regiment - also included cased full size Order of the British Empire (Officer Civil Division) with framed Certificate, cased Chevalier of the Order of Leopold with certificate from Belgian authorities and letter from Buckingham Palace authorising the wearing of it, cased Officer of the Order of the Crown (Belgian) with similar letter from Buckingham Palace, and a cased Knight of the Order of Leopold ll. Also a photograph of William Doley both in uniform circa 1917 and a later photograph probably circa 1950. Wiiliam Doley received his Belgian civil awards in recognition of his role as President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium.
