Lot Description

A Victorian silver mounted cut glass claret jug by W. & C. Sissons, hallmarked Sheffield 1864, the silver decorated with embossed scrolls and foliate detail, the handle with fluted shoulder leading a wide set rope twist design. Height measures 9.5 inches (24cm).

The silver lid does not sit completely flush, there is a hallmark to the silver mounted top and the lid, both are very clear. There are personal engraved initials to the top of the lid. Embossing is still detailed. The glass is in good condition.
