The cream jug is in good condition commensurate with age and use. The item displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing and would benefit from a polish. There is some pitting and some small shallow dents to the surface. There is some light loss of definition and detail but on the whole the engraving is clear. There is some evidence of solder marks to the base where the body meets the feet - possibly as made. The jug had become slightly warped and as a result the ball feet do not all sit flat. Hallmarks are legible. The fitted case is in fair condition externally with general scratches and tears to the surface. Internally the box displays more noticeable signs of wear and tear with more significant tears and stains.
