There are some light scratches and small dints to the exterior. The engraved cartouche is quite worn, but the shell feet and detail around the base of the caddy are in very good condition. The hallmark is in good condition and can be found on the base. The lid also has a clear  makers mark. The dove finial is securely attached with a silver screw nut. There are scratches around the screw area. Some of the finer detail on the dove and leaves has worn away. The caddy stands very slightly unsteady.

All wear is in keeping with the age and use of the piece.
