Lot Description
A Victorian oval orange paste set memorial brooch, comprising a central oval orange foil backed paste surrounded by a scroll design border and black enamel detail. Personal engraving to reverse reads 'In memory of TC who died 7th Octr 1876 to CB from Mr and Mrs McP'. Length - 3.9cms, Width - 3.4cms. Weight - 22.71 grams.

Condition Report
Fair condition. There are general scratches to the back of the brooch and an acid stain where the metal has been tested, the pin is little bent of straight. There is some abrasion to the table of the orange paste that is easily visible without magnification, there are some gas bubbles to the paste noticeable with magnification. There are slight scratches to the outer curved border of the brooch, the black enamel is in good condition.
