A Georgian eight day longcase clock, the lacquered case with gilt chinoiserie decoration, the hood with a raised and shaped top above a projecting cornice and glazed hinged panel door opening to reveal a brass face plate with circular silvered dial and black Arabic and Roman numerals, makers detail 'Robert Watts Stamford', the case with long narrow trunk door fitted with a glass bulls eye viewing window, 90" (229cm) high

In reference to lot 615 the case has had restoration this includes re-gilding of finials and possibly a layer of lacquer or varnish to case.
The case has splits and areas of repair in several places. The dial and mechanism appear to be in good order.
