Lot Description
A 9ct gold snake bangle, with a coiled flexible body and circular ruby eyes set into engraved snake head. Length (of coil) - 12.6inches, Weight - 27.0gms, Hallmark - Birmingham; 1972, Makers Mark S+P (Smith and Pepper).

Condition Report
The bangle is in very good condition and the coil is still tightly sprung. The ruby eyes are very small yet distinguishable. The engraved head is clear and crisp. There are minor surface scratches which would benefit from a polish. Full UK hallmark is a little rubbed but legible. Makers mark (S+P) is clear and crisp. According "Sentimental Jewelry" by Ann Louise Luthi, Smith & Pepper made jewelry from the late1800s to 1981 in Birmingham's jewellery quarter and their original factory is now a museum.
