Condition Report
This IWC Royal Air Force Issue pilots watch dates from1951, and has a hacking seconds feature. The matt black dial is in generally good overall condition, the hour hand has left two thin circular marks around the dial centre, there is evidence of discoloration to the luminous numerals and hourly markings, and to the luminescent hand fill. The steel case has lots of surface marks and scratches, the top fixed lug bar is bent slightly, the case inside cover has surface deterioration, there is also some evidence of moisture entering the case with some signs of light, surface rust. The inner case back centre also has a few tiny dings. The case has the Government Broad Arrow and Royal Air Force ordinance markings '6B/346' and '134/51'. The movement looks to be in good general condition, the overcoil hairspring is bunching to one side slightly, the movement is running smoothly and the hacking feature is operating. The watch is complete with canvas Nato style band, and comes with two surplus crowns.
