Lot Description

1930's silver milk pot of plain tapered form, the domed hinged lid with scroll thumb piece, scrolling wooden handle and turned finial. Hallmarked Edinburgh 1935 with the makers mark R.S. Height measures 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), weight 11.85 ozt (368 grams).

The milk pot is in good condition commensurate with age and use, displaying general scratches, marks and tarnishing to the surface along with some discolouration and would benefit from a clean. There is also evidence of minor pitting and polish build up in some areas. The wooden final is cracked and stained with polish, however the wooden handle is in good condition. Engraved initial is clear and crisp. Hallmark and maker's mark are rubbed but legible.
