Lot Description
George IV cased silver traveling communion set comprising chalice and paten each with personal engraving. Hallmarked Charles Reily & George Storer London 1829. The height of the chalice measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), diameter of paten measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), gross weight 3.3 ozt (105 grams).

Condition Report
The communion set is in good condition overall with general scratches, marks and tarnishing to the whole along with some minor pitting and shallow dents. The guilt work inside the chalice is in good condition. The personal engraving remains clear and crisp and both the Hallmark and maker's mark are clear and legible. The presentation case is in fair condition commensurate with age, the exterior is showing general scratches and tears and the interior is showing some ware. The only engraving to both parts is for the Society of Jesus consisting of HIS below a cross above three nails and within a sun.
