Condition Report
The cruet and three casters are all hallmarked Samuel Wood 1741, 1744 and 1745. The cruet stand is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. The stand itself is displaying general scratches, marks and tarnishing along with some light pitting, polish build up and residual stains. The stand does not sit flat completely, however the engraved cartouche is clear and crisp as are the hallmark and makers mark. The three casters are in very good condition displaying minor scratches and marks commensurate with age. The two cut glass examples are in good condition but are showing evidence of a previous contained substance and would benefit from a clean. Each heraldic engraving and hallmark are rubbed yet legible.
