Lot Description

A pair of Victorian silver candlesticks in classical style with Corinthian columns raised on flared square bases, with circular beaded detachable nozzles. Hallmarked London 1886, with makers mark JB.

The candlesticks are tarnished in places, the nozzles are bent around the rims, the solder joins on the nozzles are visible, the hallmarks on the nozzles are rubbed but and on one illegible, but legible on the other. The detailing is rubbed but main detail is visible. The inside of the candlesticks are engraved 1571  E.H. The base of the candlesticks are exposed wood. Little bits of the filling comes out. There is a small build up of wax to the inside of the nozzles.
