Lot Description
Victorian four piece silver tea and coffee service of segmented tapered form with bright cut engraving, acanthus leaf mounted handles, floral finials and heraldic style engravings. Two parts with a presentation engraving as below. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd London 1860. Gross weight 80 ozt (2512 grams).
' Presented to James Kelley Esq by the officers & staff on the northern division of the Great Western Railway and other friends as a mark of their respect & esteem 14th December 1860'.

Condition Report
The tea and coffee service has wear and tear scratches in keeping with the age and use of the pieces. All hallmark's are in good condition.
The coffee pot handle has some pitting and small scratch to the top, and there's a couple of scratches to the outside rim. There are noticeable deep scratches to the base, and a possible repair to the foot of the base. The lid sits flush.
The tea pot has some deep scratches to the base, the lid sits flush.
The sugar basin has some deep scratches to the base as does the milk jug, the milk jug wobbles very slightly on its base.
