All items have general scratches, marks and tarnishing and overall have wear commensurate of the ages and uses. The compact shows some heavier wear with some denting and deeper scratches, also the gilding to the interior noticeably discoloured. The nail file holder also showing some dents. Overall the glass within the vanity jar is in good condition, a few small minor chips noticeable under close inspection, the silver lid has remnants of old polish and overall the embossing appears rubbed. The hallmarks are rubbed in areas but clear and legible. The vanity jar hallmarked Chester 1899, the nail file holder Birmingham 1938, the compact Birmingham 1905.
