Lot Description
An early 20th century jewellery casket of oval form embossed to the lid with a horse and carriage scene with scroll surround, the body is raised above four claw feet, and has a velvet lining. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd, London 1903. Length measuring 4 inches (10 1/2 cm), gross weight 4.55 ozt (141.8 grams).

Condition Report
The jewellery casket is in good overall condition commensurate with the age and use. There are general scratches, marks and tarnishing with remnants of old polish especially to the recesses. There are a few dents, also dints around where the feet have been bent a little. The hinge is in good working order, the interior of the lid, gilded, is discoloured. The material to the inner and rexine to the underside of the base shows wear in keeping with the age and use. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
