Victorian silver vesta case of rectangular form with canted corners, bright cut engraving and vacant shield cartouche. Hallmarked Birmingham 1896, the maker possibly Thomas Acott & Co Height measuring 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm).

The vesta case is in good overall condition commensurate with the age and use, there are general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Large areas of discolouration to the interior. The hallmarks are clear and legible, the passant mark is a little rubbed.
