Lot Description
A Regency rosewood cased bracket clock. The arched lantern shaped case with applied moulded decoration and inlaid brass designs. The white painted dial with black painted roman numerals and detail "J Penlington and Co" Liverpool. The sides of the case fitted with gilt metal ring carry handles above gothic style pierced metal grills. The fusee mechanism striking on a single bell. The whole raised on brass ball feet complete with wall bracket. Height of clock 23.5" (59.5cm)

Condition Report
The bracket has some veneer missing and is lifting in places. The finial is loose. The lantern to top of clock is very sun bleached and has some splits to it. The arch of the clock is also sun bleached and veneer is splitting. Some of the side mouldings are missing. One of the handles has broke in half. Veneer around the dial is splitting. Splits to the veneer to the sides of the clock. All inlay appears to be intact. the bezel around the dial appears to be intact. The dial is quite worn and has a lot of crazing and cracks and also paint loss. Chips to keywind holes. Locking plate for dial is missing. Mechanism is very dirty, rear door seems ok
