Lot Description

A 19th century mahogany linen press. The upper section with a projecting dentil moulded cornice above twin panelled doors opening to reveal linen slides upon a base fitted with twin banks of three graduated cock beaded drawers, the whole raised upon shaped bracket feet. 50.5" (128.25cm) width

The cornice has some chips and some of the decoration is missing. The beading has been broken and re-glued and some beading is also missing. Inside the linen press the drawers are spilt. There is no key to the doors. The bare linen press has some missing veneer to the left backside and some on the right side. The base has splits to the sides and some of the beading around the drawers is missing. Two of the brass inserts for the key in the drawers are missing. The feet are all ok and they are a nice colour. 71.75" (182.5cm) height, 52.25" (132.5cm) wide at widest point (the cornice), 22.5" (57cm) depth. Internal height of tray cupboard 33.5" (85cm)
