Condition Report
The brooch is generally in good condition. One of the rose cut diamonds is missing to one of the bugs wings. Many of the diamonds are chipped. The emeralds are quite pale in colour. Little play of colour can be seen to the opal and fine cracks can be seen within the stone. Minor scratches and dents are present, general wear and tear. Evidence of a small amount of gold solder where the bug has been mounted on the bar brooch.
