Lot Description

A late 19th century enamelled memorial ring, the central plaque depicting a white dog lying on grass with blue sky behind, with hinged locket compartment on the inside and plumed shoulders. (Enamelling possible later addition).

The ring is in fair condition commensurate with age and use, displaying general scratches, marks and tarnishing to the whole. The enamelling is in good condition, retaining a pleasing level of detail. Under 10 X magnification one can see some small chipping and marks to the surface. The reverse locket opens and closes freely. The shank is quite misshapen and may need attention at a later date. Ring size - P.
