Lot Description
A 19th century 14k gold continental key wind open face pocket watch, the engine turned and engraved gilt dial with black Roman numerals , subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands, the engine turned case with milled band and vacant cartouche to the reverse, unsigned patent lever movement with train jewelling. Case diameter 47mm.

Condition Report
The watch case has wear to the engine turned case edge on the back with a very light knock, the hinges are a little loose, the gilt dial has surface discoloration and wear, with half of the Roman numerals faded out with the rest having segments missing, the blue steel hands slightly discolored, the mineral crystal has chips to the edge, and surface scratches, the inside base metal cover has all of its plating worn away on the outside, and is stamped Patent Lever, 13 jewels. The movement has a few scratches, and marks, is currently running smoothly, winding and hand setting functioning well. The movement has a club toothed escape wheel with in line lever.
