Lot Description

A base metal open face keyless wind Cortebert Kreigsmarine military pocket watch, the white enamel dial with large black Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial with luminous hourly markers, plain nickel silver case, signed fifteen jewel movement calibre 526. The outer case back numbered 543855. Fitted with nickel plated Albert chain. Case diameter 49mm. Together with a continental silver open face keyless wind Art Deco style pocket watch, with personal engraving to the inside back cover, stamped 0.800, with a fifteen jewel movement signed Damas, fitted with a nickel plated Albert chain. Case diameter 48mm. (2).

Condition Report

The Cortebert watch has many tension cracks to the acrylic crystal, the nickel case has surface marks and a few scuffs and scratches, the cover is a tight snap fit, as is the inner cover, the dial is in good clean condition, the hands have light tarnishing marks, the movement is bright and clean and currently in full running order. The Albert chain is in good order.

The Art Deco style pocket watch is in good overall condition, with good definition to the engine turned case, the dial has a very light even patina, the gilt hands have some light surface marks, the movement is in good condition, but requires a service. The Albert chain is in good order.
