Lot Description
An early 20th century sapphire and diamond ring, the principal oval cut sapphire mounted in a six claw setting, with petal design shoulders accented by four small old European cut diamonds. Sapphire measures 7.4 x 5.3 x 5.8mm. Stamped plat.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. The sapphire is abraded and has a chipped girdle. The stone would benefit from a re-polish. The sapphire is a medium corn flower blue. Silk inclusions can be seen under 10x. The diamonds to the shoulders are bright considering their size. The engraved pattern to the hoop has worn off and is only visible in a few places and the shank has thinned and is mis-shapen. Ring size UK- O US- 7 1/4.
