A split pearl set axe brooch, in the form of a Medieval axe set with a graduated split pearl set handle and blade. Length 5.2cms, weight 6.68gms. Two split pearls missing.

The brooch is in overall good condition. Two split pearls are missing and would need to be replaced, there are general scratches and several dents to the back of the brooch, the pin and catch is secure. The split pearls are all well matched, the claws may need to be checked.
