An early 20th century 15ct gold sapphire and diamond bar brooch, the claw set round sapphire within an old-cut diamond surround. Stamped 15ct WM, estimated total diamond weight 0.70cts, colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2, length 6.60cms. AF

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition. The sapphire has a vivid blue hue. It is abraded. Nibbles can be seen to the facet edges. Faint straight colour zoning can be seen to run across the top of the table facet. The diamonds are bright and lively. The settings will need attention as the metal is worn, in keeping with age. The brooch pin is heavily bent out of shape.
