Lot Description
A Victorian 18ct gold rectangular hinged locket, with a central engraved initial monogram, interior photo and arranged hair panel. With personal engraving to reverse which reads 'presented to Irene Lynn Dennes by passengers S.S 'Oceana' as a token of esteem for her mother and of sympathy with her August 9th 1892'. Length (including suspender) 3.5cms, width 2.2cms, weight 18.07gms, inner perspex cracked chipped.

Condition Report
The locket is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the locket in keeping with the age of the piece. One of the central perspex panels is cracked and the other is indented and damaged. The engraved detail is in good condition and nice and clear.
