A gemset set bug brooch, with a cabochon opal and garnet body and split pearl set wings. Width 2.30cms.

Condition Report
The bug brooch in in overall good condition in keeping with age. The garnet is a little loose in its setting. It has a pale pink/red colour. The opal has a white body colour with strong play-of-colour. Blue, green, red and orange can be seen. The split pearls are grey and have a dull lustre. Blisters and blemishes can be seen to the nacre. The claw settings may need attention. Light scratches are present, in keeping with age.
