Lot Description

Victorian Irish silver tapered vase, the body engraved with a repeated scroll surround to figures and masks, the body raised above a mounted circular foot. Hallmarked Edmond Johnson Ltd Dublin 1894. Height measuring 6 inches (15.5 cm), weight 9.2 ozt (287 grams).

The vase shows wear commensurate with the age and use, there are general scratches, marks, tarnishing and slight distortion to the original shape. There is a slight split to the silver at either end of the seam of the piece, however this would easily be rectified. The engraving is in good condition. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
