Lot Description

Early twentieth century rose bowl of circular form with flared lip and lion masks with ring handles to either side, the body raised above a circular base. Hallmarked London 1924, height measures 4 3/4 (12 cm), weighing 21.47 ozt (667.9 grams).

The bowl is very tarnished and discoloured with wear and tear scratches. There's a solder/join around the inner rim of the bowl, this is not visible on the outside of the bowl. The lions heads show detail and there is a personal engraving to the front of the bowl which isn't rubbed. The bowl wobbles slightly on its base. The base ahas stamped on it THE GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS COMPANY LTD 112 REGENT STREET W. There's also a small patch of deep scratches and an acid mark to the base.
