George III silver swing handle sweet basket of oval form with foliate pierced gallery, beaded rims and handle, raised above a vertical pierced oval foot. Hallmarked London 1784, makers mark indistinct. Maximum length measuring 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), weight 4.4 ozt (138 grams).

The sweet basket displays wear commensurate with the age and use with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. There is a small dint to the interior side. The hallmarks are rubbed as mentioned in the description, no visible mark to the swing handle.
