Lot Description
A pair of George V silver peppers of oval tapered form with part fluted bodies, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1915, height measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Together with a further Victorian pepper with embossed foliage decoration, and a twentieth century tapered example. Gross weight 4.08 ozt (126.8 grams). (4)

Condition Report
They all have areas of tarnishing and surface wear and tear scratches. There is some build up of polish to the fluting on two of the peppers, the lids on these are also stuck in place. The Victorian pepper has the most tarnishing, the rim of the base is slightly misshpen and the solder join on the finial has a gap in it. The 20th century pepper has some shallow dints in it. All the peppers wobble slightly on their bases. All the hallmarks are rubbed to different degrees but all are legible, the makers mark to the 20th century pepper is rubbed and illegible.
