A pair of George IV Irish silver Fiddle pattern sugar tongs, with bright cut engraved crest for Smythe, County Westmeath. Hallmarked Christopher Eades (maker) and Matthew West (retailer), Dublin1824. Length measures 6 inches (15 cm), weighing 51.32 grams.

Condition Report
The tongs have general pitting and scratching commensurate with age and use. Slight denting and distortion to the bowls although the tips are still quite good. Very slight rubbing to the Armorial at the spring with no evidence of any repair/soldering. Hallmarks very clear and legible.
