Lot Description

Six mid Victorian silver teaspoons with pierced decoration to the spade shaped finials and bright cut engraved armorial to the reverse of the bowl, together with matching sugar nips. Hallmarked Jehoiada Alsop Rhodes, Sheffield 1874, with Victorian registration mark. Gross weight 4.10 ozt (127.59 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Total lot weight: No

All pieces are quite tarnished and the bowls look to have been gilded but they are very faded now. All have wear and tear scratches  and small nicks to the edges of some of the spoons, a couple of the spoons have slightly flattened bowl tips. The detailing to the front if the spoons is more worn than the backs. The bright cut engraving to the reverse of the bowls is still detailed. The halmarks are worn and dirty but still legible, more so on some than others.
