Lot Description

George III six divide silver toast rack of rectangular form, loop handle and raised above four bracket pad feet. Hallmarked London 1793, the maker possibly John Touliet. Length measuring 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), weight 5.4 ozt (168 grams).

The toast rack shows wear commensurate with the age and use, there are general scratches, marks and small dings. Some possible repairs to the joins of the wire dividers. The underside of the base has some small personal initials engraved. The shaped of the wire dividers and loop handle has become a little distorted but commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
