Lot Description
Late Victorian heart shaped trinket box, the lid embossed with five cherub heads and gadrooned rim, opening to reveal a gilt interior, with embossed scrolling floral central border to the main body. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1898. Length measures approximately 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weighing 3.05 ozt (94.8 grams).

Condition Report
The hinge is in working order, the lid doesn't quite sit flush. There are three noticeable dints to the main body of the box and a couple of small slight dints to the lid. There is a build up of polish in the crevices, and a nick to the edge of the base. The gilt interior is very tarnished and dull with surface scratches. Hallmark legible.
