A nineteenth century Dutch silver hinged snuff box of square form with fluted edge and detail engraving. Hallmarked with the lion standard mark for 833 standard silver and the date letter for 1857. Width measures 2 inches (5 cm).

Condition Report
A nineteenth century Dutch silver hinged snuff box is quite tarnished particularly to the insideand some yellowing in areas. There is some pitting to the silver and some possible repairs. The decoration is very rubbed. The rims of the box are mishapen so the box does not close flush.
