Lot Description
Late Victorian silver rectangular purse with bright cut engraved foliate decoration within a plain rectangular border cornered by encircled quartered Celtic medallions. Initial and date engraving to the front cartouche, with blue material interior. Hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, Birmingham 1888. Width measures 10 cm, gross weight 87.0 grams.

Condition Report
There are noticeable large dents to the whole piece. There's a split in the silver to the front border that's about 3cm in length, also a split to the silver under the button. The material on the inside is very marked with a small rip to the top and bottom of the material covering the hinge, there's also built up dirt to the edges. Hinge in good working order. Some tarnishing to the inside rims. Hallmark slightly rubbed but legible.
