Great War 1914-15 Trio to 8206 Pte J Clark S Staff R.,  sold with documentation including Private John Clark’s personal record of his war movements showing he was mobilized at Walsall on 4^th August 1914, and repatriated from the western front following being gassed in May 1918; also included are photocopied photographs, and an interesting letter from Joseph Leckie to Private Clark, dated August 15^th 1916. Mr Leckie was Clark’s prewar employer. In the letter he gives encouragement to Clark, whilst making observations that the modern reader now knows to be untrue.(3)
