Lot Description

Victorian six divide silver toast rack with rectangular base and lancet formed divides. Hallmarked Edward & John Barnard London 1861. Length measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm), weight 7.5 ozt (235 grams).

The toast rack has wear commensurate with the age and use, there are general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Some of the joins to the underside have become visible. Also marked to the underside 691 B M. The base shows a little distortion but again commensurate with the age and use. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
